When Rudolf Steiner incarnated, scientific materialism had found its own shadow: Big Bang Cosmology and Darwinian Evolution. Spirit and Soul were forgotten. The human being was matter only.

It helps to appreciate that this trial was an essential element of our real evolution. To lead us out of this was his trial.

Many of his European students were still anchored in the Intellectual Soul. For example, the Idea of good and evil held sway. The Consciousness Soul was to develop in the human being the potential for drawing out of themselves the Good and the True.

One way, to get to the heart of the matter, is to realize that the Dying and Becoming of “Western” Civilization includes humanity leaving behind the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and rediscovering the Tree of Life – the Way to remembering the Garden, and recovering the Knowledge of Holy Mother -Earth Mother.

He remarked in a lecture to the workmen (March 3, 1923) “one can say that we in Europe develop Anthroposophy in a Spiritual way, while the American develops it in a natural way.” In “The Challenge of the Times” …”English speakers are instinctively in the Consciousness Soul in their Life of Rights”.

In “Geographic Medicine” he explains that the Double in America is far stronger then those in Europe. A paraphrase from “Anthroposophical Life Gifts”: Subterranean forces possess the America body – a geographical force, not a spiritual force. They chain man to the earth. Something from the human head streams toward magnetic and electric currents, neutralizing them – this the human will.

My own spiritual research (in the Imagination) reveals that when Europeans come to America, their souls do not ground themselves – the weaker double means their astral bodies lack the right density. If we follow Europeans, who came here thinking they could teach us about our soul and spirit, we may ourselves become ungrounded.

We end up with an Anthroposophical Society “in” America, but not “of” America. We are then taught to revere Sophia, but have no connection to Spider-Woman.
Keep in mind that this is mostly karma. As he explains in Karmic Relationships VI-GA 240: Lecture VII: “Those human beings who through their karma come tothe Anthroposophical Movement are predestined for this Movement.”

“For over the Anthroposophical Society a destiny hovers: many of those in the Anthroposophical Society to-day will have to come down again to the Earth before, and at the end of, the twentieth century, but united, then, with those who were either the actual leaders in the School of Chartres or were pupils at Chartres. And so, if civilization is not to fall into utter decadence, before the end of the twentieth century the Platonists of Chartres and the Aristotelians who came later will have to be working together on the Earth.”.

Plato and Socrates were “Initiates” in the Mysteries of the Divine Feminine. In the Americas, such qualities are sometimes named “Shamans”, who are essentially priests of an Earth Religion.

That’s me. What I know is: “ … the weaving life of the Goddess Natura, and, … the working of the Elements—Earth, Water, Air, Fire—as this was once revealed in the ancient Mysteries; … the majestic weaving of the Elements.”

To Franz Bardon and friends: Fire is the symbol for Will; Air is the symbol for Intellect; Water is the symbol for Feeling; Earth is the unity of the first three, manifesting Consciousness. Many Bardon students think of him as the reincarnation of Hermes Trismegist, author of the Emerald Tablet.

In my own biography, Divine Providence led me to Franz Bardon and his Revelations of the forgotten Hermetic Science of the Ancient Egyptians (an Ancient Moon Wisdom) in 1973. Five years later She led me to Rudolf Steiner’s Spiritual Science (the New Sun Mysteries). If one understands Steiner’s indications on the Return of the Moon, these Beings are first revealing themselves to us via a fully modern version of Hermetic Science.

“Spirit beings are seeking to come down into earth existence and must be received. Upheaval upon upheaval will ensue, and earth existence will at length arrive at social chaos if these beings descended and human existence were to consist only of opposition against them. For these beings wish to be nothing less than the advance guard of what will happen to earth existence when the moon reunites once again with earth.

The Sigil below is described in Bardon’s “The Practice of Ceremonial Evocation” this way: Fig. 1: Aschmunadai – is a powerful initiate in the zone girdling the earth. He has the rank of an absolute monarch. His universal seal, as shown in picture 1, is very complicated, but is a graphical representation of all the fundamental qualities with which this high intelligence is equipped with regard to the zone girdling the earth and also with regard to our physical world.

I met It about 45 years ago (I am now 84), while on LSD. The experience was frightening … all was in movement, with sounds (or perhaps It’s Song). It rushed towards me, and I felt a kind of suction-like pull, drawing me within. I ran away as fast as I could. Clearly I was nowhere near being ready.

Today I see the image as a kind of map to my own microcosm. When I meditate, I follow the spontaneous movement of various sensations in my body, and imagine that Sigil as one “name” for this microcosmic experience. The effect is very relaxing of these sensations, and it becomes easier to do whatever practices, or exercises, I choose to undertake

Some years ago I wondered why my biography led me to a Law Degree, with honors in Evidence, and to clerking on the Montana Supreme Court. I found that last experience revealing of the extent to which corporations were favored. That was it, for me and the law.

Upon asking that question, I received the Intuition to create an Earth Day Rite, where lawsuits would be filed against apex predator corporations who are ruining the environment, where the Earth was the named plaintiff. The details are here: https://thecollectiveimagination.com

All this leads us back to the beginning, where Steiner incarnates to create a path out of scientific materialism. And, where he indicates: “ … if civilization is not to fall into utter decadence, before the end of the twentieth century the Platonists of Chartres and the Aristotelians who came later will have to be working together on the Earth.”

The Anthroposophical Society in America is in a position to reach out to the wider ranges of Anthroposophy World Wide. Even though we are small in numbers, this weaving of our connections is already touching the environmental movement everywhere.

We carry the Good News, and the Ideal of the Earth Day Rite can appear in many places. Even though most lawsuits will be dismissed, by seeking out Media (they love a good story), the Suits will move from Courts of Law, to the Higher Court of Public Opinion. We do not have to win the lawsuits.

Americans are a People of the Will forces (Science). Europeans are the People of the Feeling forces (Art), as is the East the People of the Thought forces (Religion).

I had, in the beginning, called the Rite Michaelic, but Andrew Linnell suggested Raphaelic instead. If the Society in America was to seek a leading personality to organize this impulse, Andrew would be my choice. At the same time, any reader of this can get a copy of this file hermit@tiac – It is my wish that leading personalities will see to it, that not far in the future we will find discussions of this Ideal Idea in magazines from Dornach, or from biodynamic magazines, and other periodicals.

All the same, the individual does not need to wait for “officials” to get on board. Share the file widely yourself.
