This is in response to a New York Times article, where an odd collection of thinkers/movers/shakers/ and other kinds of normal idiots, tell us about the future that is coming.

If we add up the whole set of predictions, in a careful Way, we will note that most of the problems – seen as intractable/unfixable, or otherwise insane and impossible – all this “expert” noise … knows that storms have come, will only worsen, and too much of modern life is built on sand.
Politely, we might say: “Oh gosh, fuck, goddamn motherfucker … it is the end of Western Civilization and we are all in denial of the obvious.“
See, that wasn’t so hard to think, was it.
We live in the age of scientific materialism, which is a belief system that holds there is only matter, and spirit is an illusion.
Here’s a question that Way of Thought will have a hard time answering: “Why does materialism believe that only the human being has an interior/invisible to the senses self-aware sentient consciousness?“
What, for example, is the spirit of the end of a civilization? The meaning? The point of it all?
In spite of the theories of un-natural science – about Nature lacking consciousness and will – She does. Who do folks think guides the whether of the weather, and the ravages of the four horseman? Blind random chance?
Un-natural materialistic science has only one song, mostly arithmetical in shape. Mathematics tries to prove, but leaves its own genius aside, such as “Godel’s Incompleteness Theorems“.
Google throws up this definition: “Gödel’s incompleteness theorems are two theorems of mathematical logic that demonstrate the inherent limitations of every formal axiomatic system capable of modelling basic arithmetic. … The second incompleteness theorem, an extension of the first, shows that the system cannot demonstrate its own consistency.“
Meanwhile over in biology it is believed that the brain is the same as the mind – i.e. something physical has give birth to “consciousness”, which is about as non-physical/ephemeral as is possible.
Our philosophers, unable to challenge physics, ignore what is called qualia (such as the experiences of the senses), and fancy that the mind/brain is a computer made up of stuff that can only be appreciated via quantities. No qualities to existence, only quantities – i.e. number/arithmetical factoids, which Godel proved false.

Western Civilization, and its harbinger of woe – scientific materialism, is not sustainable. Scarcity lurks everywhere and various dictators, are more concerned with the personal powers, than what the fuck is going to come next.
If we were to capture the “SPIRIT” of the situation, we can come to know that Western Civilization is dying into a New Becoming. This climate situation is not well understood, but here is some help for those open minded to the spirit of the times.
